you want to rinse the henna (step 1) out and towel dry the hair. Then mix the indigo and apply immediately to your towel dried hair. No shampoo for the first 24 hours after application.

No. But cassia is not going to give you a lot of color unless it is white hair and it is not going to be very permanent. We are coming out with a new strawberry blonde (super light colored.
You will see it out with in a few days. It sounds perfect for you. Another thing you can do is add henna to the cassia. A very small amount will keep it light.

Hi Dee,

It is hard to say what you need to do or not do without know exactly what you are doing. 1st and most important thing is that the hair should be washed twice with a clarifying shampoo to remove any dirt/oil/hair products from the hair immediatly before application. 2nd is to not mix anything with the powder except warm tap water, leave the henna paste on for up to 1 hour then rinse with water and repeat applicaiton with indigo paste for the same amount of time. You can use a little rinse out conditioner when rinsing the paste from the hair to aid in removing the paste. Wash the hair with shampoo 24 hours after the application process.

I want to cover my gray. I have naturally black hair and my hair is very thick. I have been using both henna and Indigo but the gray keeps coming back within 1 week. Is there something else I should be doing or something I should not do?

Hi I want to color the greys in my hair with cassia obovata . When you make it into a paste, and let it sit 10 to 12 hours, do you need to keep it warm to get color release like you do with henna?
