Your wish is granted with what Harvest Moon’s Shikakai Powder has to offer.Shikakai plants centrally originated from India and from the waterless sections of Burma, and in due course, it grew visibility in Central Asia and in the Far East. The plants were mainly used in the ancient Indian times as shampoo and detergent because of the substance they contained known as ‘saponin.’ Saponin is a cleansing element that has lathered quality. It is found in some trees and plants and it greatly works as a cleanser with exceptional softening features.
A Tiny Plant With A BIG Fruit
The shikakai plant is small; however, it takes pride with its large fruit shell. In the early civilization where detergents were still far from being discovered, the fruit shell alone would be crushed and mixed with water to produce a substance that people used for maintaining the luster of their hair. Eventually, all the other parts of the shikakai plant have proven to be useful for the rejuvenation of the hair, hence, the innovation from Harvest Moon.
Harvest Moon’s Shikakai Powder is a combination of the pounded fruit shell, leaves, and trunk of the shikakai plant. Harvest Moon made the function of Shikaki powder pivoted on the invigoration of the hair and in the maintenance of the scalp’s cleanliness and health.

Purchase Shikakai
Customer: I do have a few questions that hopefully you can answer.
You sell pure Shakakai, right? No additives? Yes/Nope. Pure as a babies bottom.
How much powder do I use every time I mix it? In teaspoons/tablespoons? Enough to cover your hair and make thick like pudding, massage into hair. Comes in 100 gram pouches, depending on how long your hair is, you can get several uses out of it.
It is like a mud mask for the hair and scalp!
Can I pre-mix it and leave it in a bottle? Or should I mix it fresh every time? NO and YES, just keep powder in zip lock baggy, squeeze air out.
How long should I leave it on for? I’ve read that it can burn the eyes and face very badly. You just mix with water and need/massage into hair and rinse after 3 minutes.
How often can I use it? Any idea how often most people use it? I’ve read that some people use it as a treatment every once in a while, but if it works for me, I’d like to use it to cleanse by hair whenever I need to.It is a shampoo! Every Day, One a week or once a month. It is up to you. once a week?
Will it make my hair feel at all oily/dry? It’s a powder..so it shouldn’t have any extra oils, correct? No. Correct This old fashion shampoo produces a small amount of lather like a sulfate-containing shampoo would, it is a good cleanser. It is mild, having a low pH, it doe not strip hair of natural oils. No conditioner is needed -shikakai also acts as a detangler.
Will it change the color of my hair at all? I read that it can stain fingernails! No/no. Plus you only leave it on for 3 minutes.
Shikakai is Ayurveda, which is a type of Indian medicine. Will it effect my skin? No, not medicine an ayurvedic, an “alternative” medicine. Ayus meaning longevity and veda meaning related to knowledge.
From my research on it, I’ve seen mostly reviews from African Americans that use the Shikakai. I’m not, so is it okay that I still use it? We do not disriminate and neither does shikakia! It is something that was invented by the Egyptians and Indians.
